Saweetie got candid about her viral break up tweet and where she was at the time she sent it.
During an interview with W Magazine, the Saweetie revealed she was getting her hair done for the magazines photo shoot when she posted the message that set the internet on fire.
"I was grateful to be doing the photo shoot," she explained. "I was like, I can deal with all this later."
Back in March, Saweetie shocked the world when she announced her break up from Quavo through a tweet that read, "I'm single. I've endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don't band aid scars and the love isn't real when the intimacy is given to other women."
Lynn Hirschberg, who interviewed Saweetie and was present for the photo shoot, described the singer as "quiet, self-contained" and not showing signs of "sadness or emotional distress" after sending the message.
"I've learned that the world doesn't stop for anybody," Saweetie told Hirschberg. "And it's for sure not going to stop for me just because I got my heart broke."
Soon after TMZ released security footage from an elevator of Saweetie and Quavo tussling over a suitcase before she slips and falls, while her ex does nothing to help her up.
