Tory Lanez has been trolling those who have been waiting for his downfall ever since allegations were made that he shot Megan Thee Stallion. But five months after the incident, when a Los Angeles County Judge ruled to uphold his assault charges against the 27-year-old, it became quite apparent he could no longer take a light-hearted approach to the ordeal.Â
Tory Lanez is in hot water and today Megan Thee Stallion turned up the temperature by posting screenshots on social media of an apologetic text message that she received from the Canadian rapper/singer.
"Lie yo way out of this ⊠if you ain't do s*** what you was apologizing for?" Megan Thee Stallion wrote in her caption to the post. "THEY GOT YOU RECORDED ON THE JAIL PHONE TALKING TO KELSEY APOLOGIZING BEGGING US NOT TO TALK."
In response, Tory Lanez took to Twitter to deflect the verbal attack from his former flame by attributing his apologetic tone to infidelity rather than assault. Lanez claimed his apology was for sleeping with Meg's friend, Kelsey, and not for the alleged shooting
"Good D**k had me f***ing 2 best friends .... and I got caught," Tory Lanez tweeted. "[That's] what I apologized 4....it's sick how u Spun it tho."Â
This whole exchange began when blogger Dj Akademiks posted a now deleted tweet that said âIt was revealed in court few moments ago that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case,â
The allegation went viral enough for Megan to see it and she responded in her Instagram Story. âI know some of yall blogs on payroll but please dont get sued trying to create a hate campaign. Be a real journalist and post FACTS,â Meg wrote.
âYall got breaking news 15 minutes before court started and nobody has even been called in yet?â she continued. âYall tryna win a social media campaign, this is my real life! Yall tryna get retweets spreading false narratives! @iamakademiks why are you lying? What did you gain?â
Meg added that ânobody even cares to readâ and the accusation has made her relive the incident.
âOnly thing that happened in court today was it got pushed to April 5th.. but yall will keep a lie trending.. imagine how i feel.. reliving this shit everyday publicly. It hurts im so tired,â she wrote.
Tory was originally scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for shooting Meg Thee Stallion in the foot back in 2020, but the date has since been pushed back to this April.
