North Hollywood Gym Owner Faces Backlash After Racist Rant Goes Viral

A gym owner named Akop "Jack" Torosian. The CEO of No Limit Super Gym was caught on camera, during a promotional event for the re-opening of his fitness centers, spewing out racist words about the presence of a man from an ethnic group that he didn't appear to have any respect for.

"Why is there a f*cking Mexican selling juice in my juice opening in my gym?!" asked Torosian "Are you kidding me? Tell him to get the f*ck out of here. This is embarrassing, this is not a Mexican hang-out."

The video clip of his rant was posted online and went viral immediately throwing his gym, No Limit Super Gym, into a public relations nightmare. His company's yelp page has been bombarded with one-star reviews and he has landed squarely on the radar of cancel culture. So, with so much on the line, Torosian took to social media in an attempt to provide context to his actions and to apologize.

"One of my employees, a couple of my employees, a whole family of employees that I've been paying for the past five years, fifteen thousand dollars a month had been taking advantage of me, I found out recently, collecting money, not paying my employees, taking money from me and setting up a whole juice bar, grand opening and setting up whole street vendors and people that don't represent the gym, what we represent as a brand, what we represent as a lifestyle and what we represent as a way of being...they invited people without my approval which was against our best interest. I may have said words that may have been offensive to some people and I'm sorry and I'm very apologetic for that. That was not in my intentions, I love Mexicans, I love Hispanics. You guys already know that. Half my pictures, half my videos, and half my music is Latin music. I',m definitely not a racist. I love all of you guys. What happened with me and this family is personal that I have to address, privately. I just don't want this to be a public issue. I don't want to address this any further with more details towards that. She took a video that was out of context, that presented it in the wrong way, that caused this, and I'm sorry for this being the case, but you guys know who I am, I've been here from day one. I don't even see race, I don't see color...half of my employees are Black, half of my employees are Mexican..."

There is no word on whether or not the video footage will result in legal action, but Torosian is claiming that his employees opened up a juice bar in his place of business without his knowledge. He is also alleging that the man whom he was referring to in the video was trespassing. Either way, the owner of the No Limit Super Gym appears to have an uphill battle on his hands when it comes to repairing the image of his brand.

Torosian is not a stranger to negative headlines as back in 2015 he was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder after he allegedly fired shots while inside a car body shop.
