Authorities have released dramatic footage of a bystander apprehending a drunk driver fleeing the scene of a fatal crash which claimed the life of an off-duty detective.
The newly released footage from the Nov 27, 2021 crash shows Dylan Molina, who's since been convicted of the killing, attempting to flee on foot. However, Molina was caught by a man who has been identified as Justin Gonzalez.
“Hey! Get your f— a– over here motherf—er,” Gonzalez can be heard yelling as he chased after Molina before pinning him to the ground. “You f—ing killed somebody you motherf—-er,” Gonzalez shouted at him. “You killed somebody! Stay right there!”
“I don’t know why it had to happen that it did,” Gonzalez told reporters following the ordeal. “But I knew he wasn’t going anywhere. I couldn’t let him go.”
According to WFAA Fox 4, Molina received 15 years on the manslaughter plea and 10 years each on the assault pleas with the sentences to run concurrently.
