According to footage and reports that surfaced, South African rapper and amapiano star Costa Titch reportedly passed after collapsing on stage during a performance this past Saturday (March 11).
Costa, whose real name is Constantinos Tsobanoglou, was seen performing at the Ultra Music Festival in South Africa and seemingly had the crowd amped up. While moving from one side of the stage to the other, the 28-year-old rapper dropped intensely to the ground. He was lifted by a person and stood up for a few seconds before collapsing again.
The loss of Costa was confirmed by his family, who issued a statement via Instagram. “It is with deep pain that we find ourselves having to acknowledge his passing at this time. We are thankful for those emergency responders and all those present in his last hours on this earth,” said his family. A cause of death hasn’t been revealed.
