LaTavia Washington McGee and her brother, Eric Williams, made headlines after they were kidnapped by the cartel in Mexico earlier this year, and they sat down with CNN's Anderson Cooper on Tuesday (April 11).
The two told their story for the first time publicly, where they spoke about their friends, Shaeed Woodard and Zindell Brown, being gunned down after they tried to run when the cartel first cut them off in traffic near the border city of Matamoros. From there, McGee and Williams spoke about the cartel taking them captive and what they experienced while with them.
McGee told Cooper that the cartel tried to get her and Williams to have sex after she told them that they were siblings. McGee also told them that she was pregnant, and she also revealed that she tried to escape twice after being kidnapped. You can check out a snippet of their interview above.
