Avant-pop singer-songwriter REGALJASON shares his much-awaited debut EP titled ‘MEGAFAUNA’, roaring vocals and experimental melodic compositions, a collection of incredible tracks that will question everything we think we know, while at the same time exposing new facets of the artist’s unique persona. MEGAFAUNA encompasses six beautiful tracks. Speaking about the title, REGALJASON said that “it seemed [as] a fitting title for a project that is essentially a social commentary on the most destructive large animals of today: humans, and how on our current trajectory, we are bound to go extinct.” Certainly a memorable title, MEGAFAUNA is expected to be a hit, especially among music enthusiasts who are in search of authenticity and boldness.
REGAL’s fans are already familiar with two of the songs off the EP— “Empire” and “Already Won”, which both debuted alongside some stunning visuals. Quickly amassing thousands upon thousands of views and streams, these songs heralded the arrival of the six-tracker well in time. “Empire” proudly marks the opening of the EP as the artist sings about the “city”—an ecosystem of its own that never ceases to survive no matter how many different extremes it houses.
“Rapport” is more on the melodic, emotional side where REGAL fully showcases his soaring vocals fused with powerful, hiphop-like beats that somehow emphasize the meaning as the lines are sung. “Reprise” is the last song of the collection, bringing MEGAFAUNA to a smooth end and leaving the listeners with much food for thought as well as sheer joy of the entire experience.
Sophisticated and original as ever, the British-Jamaican artist continues to set the bar high with every new release. His previous works include “Buzzed Love” and “Fences”, two singles that have already shown the world how talented, creative, and determined REGALJASON is.
