Ever thought a Canadian act would be sweeping up the NYC music Scene? Canada’s own Riotron, an acclaimed electro pop act, recently dropped his “Life Is What We’re Living” banger and shook the studio at The Breakfast Club. First remixed by Mahalo, the song also came out with a flabbergasting music video that’s nearing 10 million views starring Lea Thompson (Back To The Future star) and Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf). The remix is unique and beautiful with intense emotions and an air of urgency created by the lyrics and beats combination.
Taking the track one step further, the living legend of EDM, Paul Oakenfold, fused his very own style with that of the original piece and came up with a magical mix that sounds more optimistic in melody as well as the beats. There is something playful about this remix that makes the listener want to jump on the dancefloor; at the same time the song maintains its profoundness and the minimalistic take on the topic of life and death—the cause of thousands of philosophical debates.
“I really enjoyed working on the remix for ‘Life Is What We’re Living’ with Riotron,” Paul Oakenfold said about the track. “I tried to take it in a more uplifting direction and I think everyone will be pleased with the final result. I know I am”. The EDM scene is more than pleased, and it looks like the song will be ruling the summer dancefloors and clubs this year!
Jeff Fettes also known as Riotron has been making waves with every new release. His previous drops include “I’m Sorry” (25M views), “Dark Highway” (16M), “Silent Night” featuring GOLDHOUSE, “Lights Go Out”, and more with remixes and co-signs from Marshmello, R3HAB, Black Caviar, and Wuki, an act to interview at Power 105.1 no doubt. Adding this stunning Paul Oakenfold remix to his ever-growing versatile body of works and no matter which personality Riotron gives the wheel to in his art, there's always a reason to engage with everything he drops.
