Andrew Perez, or in other words, WesCovDru, is one of the new and upcoming artists trying to inspire many through his music. After going through many hardships in life, from his dad being sentenced to jail and having a son at a young age, music seemed to be one of the few things he could rely on. His inspiration came from his mom and a late older brother who passed away when he was younger. While most of his music can be considered R&B, WesCovDru’s music is versatile, ranging from pop, soul, trap, etc.
Though his journey began around five or six years ago, he has grown his fandom consisting of 10,000 followers on Instagram and even being able to perform in a club back in 2017. In the meanwhile. Dru completed on May 29th at the Metro Ale Pomona and recently just released a single called “Only Want You.” Dru has worked with many music engineers such as ShadnDaron and Cole Dobyns.
As of right now, he is finishing his first album alongside the EP collaboration with Mr.Daron, in total completing 16 singles and being featured on two more tracks. While music is what he is most passionate about, WesCovDru has many other interests, such as real estate plans, AirBnB investments, NFTs, and working on opening his gym with a friend.
WesCovDru can be found on all streaming platforms except Soundcloud at the moment. Once he is finished with his album, he plans to present it to different label companies. While he has seen little money in the music industry, he believes “every dollar has value cause who would’ve thought I’d be making money through making music.” He is just getting started and you can tap in with him below!
