Born and raised in Ghana West Africa, Rush Kurly fell in love with Hip-Hop at a very early age. Influenced by Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, and Kendrick Lamar he knew that he had a story to tell. From being self-taught to now making music, he is happy to share his truth and life story with his listeners. Rush-kurly knew that if his hip-hop dream would materialize, then he would have to leave his home country. With that being said, in 2016, he took a leap of faith, took his career into his hands, and travelled to Atlanta by himself to become a rapper.
When asked why is music his passion, Rush Kurly responded “From the moment I wrote my very first line, I have never looked back since. And with everyone telling to give up on this music thing, my passion kept growing bigger and bigger.”
He is currently in Houston, TX, and still on his quest to reach mainstream hip-hop. Following the release of hid hit single ‘Nuh Nuh’ in 2017. The song recieved over 80k plays and counting Sound cloud which he received much success. His current single ‘Top Boy’ is steadily climbing the charts and doing numbers. He hopes to inspire as many people as possible. “I wanna be an example to every dreamer that it is possible. You can make it. If you are passionate about it and give it your all, you would succeed. That’s the impact I’m looking to have.” He is currently working on his debut album; ‘TIGHT ROPES, HIGH HOPES!’ In the meantime, you can listen to him below!
