After the first week of releasing his album “For What It’s Worth” DRE-SKI landed at #32 on the iTunes album charts. After putting out multiple EPs and mixtapes this is considered to be a huge milestone and accomplishment for him bringing the saying “hard work pays off” to life. This album is much different than his past music, he explained in an interview that it is more for himself and his expression of another side of who he is as an artist. He decided that he didn’t want to box himself in and wanted to challenge himself musically by pushing his limits, testing his creative skills, and staying true to who he is by keeping his own sound!
The album is accompanied by his single “Not In The Mood '' which he also shot a cinematic music video to. The visual currently has over 25k views on YouTube and counting. He is currently on a press tour for the album where he visited the beautiful city of Chicago where he paid a visit to the biggest radio station WGCI and discussed wanting to stay independent versus signing a major deal. During his trip he also sat down with a popular podcast The Juice and visited the kids at a local middle school to inspire the youth. To wrap up his press tour he will be heading up to Boston and Nashville to close out before he hits the west coast for his next release.
Alongside his many accomplishments, last February he was featured in Billboard hip-hop which was one of his proudest moments as an artist. It was surreal to get the recognition he wished for after putting in so much time and energy. This opened many doors for other opportunities in the future such as getting mentioned by Forbes and iHeartRadio.
