Tripped Out Trap on Young Gstar’s PaRiah

A self-proclaimed " Alien Hip Hop Alien," Young Gstar`s high-energy live shows have blown crowds away across America—from Miami LIVE all the way down through Proud Camden London UK!

One can virtually smell Young Gstar’s haze on PaRiah. The defiance embodied here proves awe-inspiring. He represents a sense of pure independence over the course of these three tracks. Bass goes deep into the red, the distorted disorienting red. His flow has a chaos-modequality to it. Going from slow to fast and back again, he makes nothing predictable. Such attention to detail means that his word choice gets that extra punch to it. Rather elegantly the songs play off each other, with each one giving off yet another look at his already varied personality.

Addictive “PaRiah” messes with time and space. Samples have a noir-like quality and they make sure to hold nothing back. Bass has a gigantic scope, weaving through to add to the force of nature quality. For the final stretch, he evaluates his craft with the song speeding up to create this alien-like territory. Things slow down a bit for “Live Fast Die Great (LFDG)” has Young Gstar savoring the atmosphere with the percussive elements bouncing off the walls, nonetheless. Some baroque melody on acid ends things off with “BLZRSwave”. He waits a while before the actual beats hit and when they do it feels majestic. Out of that initial spark, the rest of the piece seems to transform into a vast universe.

PaRiah proves a wild journey, one that features the exquisite narrative and no fucks given attitude of Young Gstar.
