Charizard Shares How Lil Uzi Vert Has Inspired And Influenced His Music

LA-based artist and producer Charizard Evan Moitoso says he is nothing without music. “I wake up every day just so I can listen to music and experience the art. Music also always calms me down and puts me in the proper mindset.” Born and raised in New York City, Charizard lived quite an interesting life. Aside from being an avid concert and party-goer, he also enjoyed living life on the edge (he used to climb skyscrapers in NYC for fun!) Now that he lives in Los Angeles, his main focus is music, working alongside Alex Loyalty and Bighead Music Group. The two have worked on several tracks, including Swifty Blue and Bighead’s “Swap for a Swap”, featuring Kodak Black.

Many artists and producers are somewhat influenced by other artists and certain genres. For Charizard, there’s one artist that truly stands out for him. “Lil Uzi Vert is and forever will be my favorite artist and my hero. I’m also very inspired and moved by Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Kodak Black, Antonio Vivaldi, 6dogs, Bladee, Daddex, and Sebii. Also Yeat, can’t forget Yeat.” When it comes to genres, the young producer prefers SoundCloud/Mumble Rap, Hyperpop, Drill (specifically NYC drill), and Classical music.

As a New Yorker, it’s only fair to ask Charizard which artists from his hometown he would like to work with – rapper Fivio Foreign is at the top of his list! “He just nice with those adlibs “ay ay ay.” He is also responsible for one of my top 3 all-time favorite songs [“Big Drip”].”Just this summer, Charizard released his mixtape Trashzard VV1 and as for future projects, listeners can expect some new music in March 2023.
