Navigating the music industry is a hard code to crack and not everyone makes it however, as for Fee Banks it was his written destiny. His career in management started 27 years ago with his childhood friend Lil Wayne. After Wayne’s rise to fame it was only right he take his day ones with him. Fee Banks quickly became a house hold name in the industry and successful manager. Since then he has managed other artist like Kevin Gates, NBA YoungBoy, No Cap, Quando Rondo, and more. Despite the fact Fee Banks is now one of the industry’s well known managers and has worked with some of the industry’s biggest names he still has a humble passion for new talent. His ears are always to the streets and because of that he recently discovered Lul Bob who is an artist on the rise who he added to his roster.
He shared in an interview that growing up in New Orleans he only had dreams about Cash Money but he did not envision himself as solely a music manager. “My desire was to have a record label, and a company, and creating great music.” Fast forward, he now works directly with Interscope on a joint venture as the CEO of his own label Good Money Global. In late 2020 he also earned the title as Billboard’s Executive of the Week for his success with working with Billboard charts charting artists. He is also responsible for YoungBoy’s very first platinum record “Untouchable.” Even with the music business continuing to evolve Fee banks still holds the title as Louisianas most successful music executives in hip-hop today.
When asked what is one thing he still would like to accomplish he shared “one of my biggest and on going goals is to discover the next generation superstar and to be a true partner to that artist.” With Fee Banks already navigating NBA YoungBoys career who is now one of hip-hops biggest artists of this generation alone it is no question that Fee Banks will discover the next generations star.
