Oompa is a Boston-born, poet, rapper, and educator. She is will recognize and has been featured in Huffington Post, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, NPR Boston’s The ARTery, Vanyaland, and more! She is known for making amazing meaningful music! In 2016, Oompa's debut album, November 3rd, was named one of Dig Boston's Top 30 Local Albums. I would say she is the female version of J.cole. She's dropping her newest Album CLEO August 10th, which I have had the pleasure to listen to the album. It's straight-up amazing, breathtaking. She put her whole heart into this project and you can feel it and hear it. I don't want to say too much! But what I can say is, watch it if you haven't seen the movie, "Set It Off" already. Queen Latifah's character in the movie reminds her a lot of her life, not literally everything but the feeling of go-getting what you want and living it up.
She will be performing her whole album CLEO August 10th at the Sinclair in Cambridge, MA. Come join a wild night full of great music with many special guests.
